This is a great basic quiche recipe; modify it and add whatever you would like.

Ingredients

  • 1 ready-made pastry shell, partially baked
  • 1 T dijon mustard
  • 1 t dried dill
  • 1 1/2 C vegetable or meat filling (broccoli, asparagus, ham, shrimp, tomato, pepper, etc. Steam vegetables first if using hard veggies.)
  • 1/2 C grated cheese of your choice
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 C milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Brush partially-baked pieshell with mustard and set aside.

Mix together filling with cheese and dill and spread over bottom of pie shell.

Beat eggs with milk and season as desired. Pour mixture over quiche filling and bake 30-40 minutes until just set. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
