Spicy Glazed Pecans

My version of the famous spiced not for the holidays. I used Just Whites for a safer version than raw egg whites.
Package these in containers or gift bags to give out during the holidays. They can be used in salads or desserts or as an accompaniment with cocktails.

Ingredients
- 1 lb pecan halves
- 2 tsp Just Whites mixed with 2 tbs warm water
- 1 1/1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 1/8 tsp allspice
- Pinch of ground Ginger, nutmeg & ground cloves
- 1 tbs Smart Balance margarine or butter

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 300*F.
2. Line a jelly roll pan with parchment and lightly grease with Smart Balance. Set aside.
3. Combine the cinnamon, salt, sugar and spices in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
4. In a mixing bowl, whip the Just Whites till foamy and soft set. Add the pecans and gently fold till covered. In three stages add the cinnamon, sugar spice mixture and stir gently.
5. Pour onto prepared pan and spread out.
6. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Stir nuts and bake for another 8-10 minutes.
7. Stir the nuts and let cool. Remove the nuts to a storage container, they will keep for about 2 weeks.
