  • 5 lbs lbs blue plums and cooked and collandered
  • 4 lbs. of apples chopped
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 tablespoon of allspice
  • 1 tablespoon of cloves
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 lbs. brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 3 cup of vinegar

Step 1

1. Combine plum puree and remaining ingredients.
2. Cook uncovered stirring constantly until thickened.
3. Pour into sterilized jars.
