Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 2-3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp. margarine,not melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook sweet potatoes in oven till soft, mash.
2. Combine rest of ingredients.
3. Pour into pie shell.
4. Combine topping ingredients until crumbly, except nuts, put on top.
5. Sprinkle nuts on top, or around border.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes uncovered, then cover crust with tinfoil, to prevent burning, and cook another 15 minutes.
7. For a pretty design sprinkle topping in middle, edges with pecans, and put four whole pecans in middle.
