Ingredients

  • 5 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 lb tenderflake lard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cups ice cold water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients, add lard & mix till lard is in pea size bits.

Mix water mixture into flour mixture. Knead dough till all mixed adn form a ball. Let rest. Makes 2 pies.
