Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 2-1/2-3 lb. broiler-fryer, cut up
  • 1 c. Bull's Eye Original Barbecue Sauce

Step 1

Combine seasonings; mix well. Rub seasoning mixture onto both sides of chicken pieces. For less spicy chicken, omit ground red pepper.
INDOORS: Place chicken, skin side down, on grease rack of broiler pan. Bake at 375˚ for 30 minutes. Brush with barbecue sauce. Continue baking 30 minutes or until tender, turning and brushing with barbecue sauce every 10 minutes.
MICROWAVE OVEN: Arrange chicken in 12 x 8-inch baking dish with meatiest portions to outside of dish; cover with waxpaper. Microwave on high 10 minutes; drain. Pour sauce over chicken; cover. Microwave 10 to 14 minutes or until tender, turning dish every 5 minutes.
OUTDOORS: Place chicken, skin side down, on greased frill over low coals (coals will be ash gray). Grill, uncovered, 45 minutes or until tender, brushing frequently with barbecue sauce during last 30 minutes and turning occasionally.
