Sutherland House Dressing

NOTE: This dressing goes fast. It started out in a newspaper as "$10. Dressing" and we have "adopted" it.

Ingredients

• 2 tbsp. cider vinegar
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 teasp. each salt, celery
• seeds, dry mustard, and paprika
• 1 small onion, quartered
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

Place vinegar, sugar, spices, and onion in blender and blend. When thoroughly blended, add oil slowly while blender in running. Blend until dressing is emulsified. Pour in salad dressing bottle and refrigerate. I always double all ingredients. Also, I am very generous with the onion.(For a double batch, an onion about two inches in diameter in about right.)
