Steak Kabobs with Mushroom Sauce 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 16 medium baby portabella or regular white mushrooms
  • 1 medium orange, red or yellow bell pepper, cut into 16 (1-inch) pieces
  • 1 can (18 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy portabella mushroom cooking sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Montreal steak seasoning
  • Chopped fresh parsley or other herbs

Preparation

Step 1

1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. On each of 4 (15-inch) metal skewers*, alternately thread steak, mushroom and bell pepper. In small bowl, mix cooking sauce and steak seasoning.

2 Place kabobs on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 12 to 14 minutes or until beef is of desired doneness, turning once and brushing frequently with cooking sauce mixture.

3 Heat remaining cooking sauce mixture to boiling; boil 1 minute, stirring frequently. Serve kabobs with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with parsley.

*Flat skewers work best because the ingredients won't roll as you turn the skewers.
