Step 1

Split the bean lengthwise with a sharp paring knife. Use its' tip to loosen the seeds by gently scraping inside the pod.
Pour the vodka in a clean into a clean glass jar with a lid. Submerge the pod and the seeds and leave them to soak at room temp for 1 - 2 months.
You can add any scraped pods that are used in recipes by adding in the jar.
Discard the beans and store the jar in the refrigerator. It will keep for a year.
