Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup dried cherries or cranberries
  • 1 cup chocolate bits
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal

Step 1

Cream together 1 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar and 3/4 cup white sugar in a bowl. Add 1 egg. Mix in 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 cup dried cherries or cranberries, 1 cup chocolate bits, 1 cup toffee bits and 1 1/2 cups oatmeal. Divide and make into a roll about 2" wide. Wrap in saran wrap. Cool in fridge for about 1/2 hour. Cut in 1/2" slices. Put on parchment paper. Place quite far apart as these are meant to flatten and spread. Bake in a 350 degrees oven for 15 minutes or until brown.
