Sour Cream Coffee Cake

I make these for Christmas and give them out to family, friends and neighbors and it's a hit! Just make sure no one is allergic to the walnuts, if so, don't add the walnuts.

Ingredients

  • CAKE:

  • 1

    cup granulated sugar

  • ½

    cup brown sugar

  • ½

    cup butter (or margarine), softened

  • ½

    tsp salt

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1

    tsp vanilla

  • 2

    cups all-purpose flour

  • 1

    tsp baking powder

  • 1

    tsp baking soda

  • 1

    cup sour cream

  • FILLING MIXTURE:

  • ¼

    cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1

    tsp cinnamon

  • ½

    cup walnuts, chopped

Directions

1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2.) Preparing the filling mixture first. In a medium bowl mix packed brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts; set aside. 3.) In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and baking soda; set aside. 4.) in a large bowl attached to a mixer cream together sugar, brown sugar, butter, salt, eggs and vanilla. On a slower speed, simultaneously add a little bit of flour and then a little of the sour cream and keep repeating until it's all in the mixer; beat until smooth. 5.) Using a cooking spray, spray bundt pan and then spoon in half the batter. Sprinkle the filling mixture evenly over batter; spoon in the rest of the batter. Bake 45-50 minutes.
