Ingredients

  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 pkg active dry east or 3 tsp (14ml)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
  • 2-3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water. sprinkle in yeast, let stand for 10 minutes or until foamy. Stir in oil.
Combine flour with salt. Stir about 1/2 the flour mixture into the yeast mixture. Mix in enough of the remaining flour until dough can be gathered into a slightly sticky ball.
On lightly floured surface, knead dough for about 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Cover dough and let rest for 10 minutes.
