Ingredients
- 1 ½ pds 80% ground beef
- ½ pd ground veal At times I increase as well as use ½ pork
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1/4 c bread crumbs
- 3 tbl chop parsley
- 2 tbl fresh basil
- 1 tbl salt
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- ½ fresh ground pepper
- 4-5 slices firm white bread …crust removed
- 1 c milk
- 1 c romano cheese
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 large Spanish onion peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 tbl chopped garlic
- 10 c marinara sauce

Preparation
Step 1
In bowl using hands mix beef, veal, eggs
add bread crumbs, parsley, basil, salt, garlic, pepper..mix well.
Tear bread in pieces. Put in bowl and add milk. Let sit about 5 min or until nearly absorbed. Add bread to meat mix well with hands.
Stir in cheese.
Cover bowl w/ plastic fridge for an hour
After forming in balls..Set in fridge for about 20 min to firm up a bit.
After meatballs have all browned heat tbl olive oil..add onions garlic and sauté until browned.
Heat sauce to boil add onion and garlic
