Ingredients
- 2 cups diced cooked ham
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 4 ounces butter
- 4 cups creamed style corn
- 1 cup half and half (or whole milk)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter over medium heat in a Dutch oven or large saucepan. Add ham, celery and onion and saute until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in cream style corn, half and half, garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika and cumin.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste.
