- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, coarsely choppped
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Grease a 9-inch square metal baking pan.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove saucepan from heat; stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; stir until well mixed. Stir in flour mixture, pecans, and butterscotch chips just until blended.
Spread batter in pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from edge comes out almost clean. Do not overbake; blondie will firm as it cools. Cool in pan on wire rack.
When cool, cut blondie lengthwise into 4 strips, then cut each strip crosswise into 6 pieces.
