Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 C. Flour
  • 2 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
  • 3/4 C. Margarine - softened
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 C. Molasses
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar

Step 1

Combine flour, ginger, baking soda, cloves, cinnamon & salt. Set aside. In large bowl, beat margarine with electric mixer on low for 30 seconds to soften, gradually add the sugar, beat until fluffy, add the egg & molasses, beat well. Stir in dry ingredients, mix well & chill in fridge for approx 1 hour or so. Shape dough into 1 inch balls-roll in sugar & place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350` for 10 minutes or until lightly browned & still puffed. Cool & enjoy!!
