  • 4 bananas frozen in chunks
  • 1 apple chopped
  • 1/4 to 3/4 cup coconut or almond milk
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and chop your bananas and freeze in a freezer safe dish. Once frozen, chop the apple and place in a microwave safe dish. Microwave for 2 minutes. Spread out on a plate to help them cool. You will want to let them cool completely so they don’t melt the ice cream. You can place your plate of baked apples into the freezer to help them cool faster.

In your food processor, place your frozen bananas, 1/3 of the cooled, baked apples, 1/4 cup of milk of choice, cinnamon, and applesauce and blend. Keep processing until smooth, scraping the sides down as you go. If you like a softer serve ice cream, then add more milk as you go. Once it’s completely smooth, add the remaining 2/3 of your baked apples, mixing with a spoon. Top with more cinnamon, walnuts, and/or raisins if desired.
