Ingredients
- 5 egg yolks
- 1/3 c. confectioner's sugar
- 500 grs. or 18 oz. mascarpone*
- 1/4 c. brandy or cognac
- 5 egg whites
- approx. 24 ladyfingers
- 1 c. expresso
- 1 c. about, cocoa powder

Preparation
Step 1
Beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and pale. Fold in cheese and brandy. Beat whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into cheese mixture. Dip ladyfingers into expresso and line bottom of large serving dish. Pour about half the cheese mixture over and smooth the top. Dust thickly with powdered cocoa. Repeat. Cover and chill, preferably overnight.
*Mascarpone
16 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/3 c. sour cream
