Ingredients

  • 1/3 c canned milk
  • 50 caramels
  • 1 pkg German Chocolate Cake Mix (Do Not use cake mix directions)
  • 1/3 c canned milk
  • 1 c chopped pecans
  • 1/3 c butter
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1 6 oz pkg chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

In a small sauce pan, melt caramels and 1/3 c canned milk. Set aside and leave on very low heat. Mix cake mix with 1/3 c canned milk, water, butter, and nuts. Grease a 9x13 dish and pour in half of the cake batter. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Remove from oven and spread carmel mixture over the cake. Then sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel layer. Drop, by spoonful, the remaining cake batter over the top. Return to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool, then refridgerate for 1/2 hour.
