Mock Cream Soup Mix
By MaryEllen
"Mock Cream Soup Mix" is a basic mix of dry ingredients that can be stored in an airtight container, and then turned into any number of different soups...
Because the canned soups have so much MSG in them, this is a good recipe to make ahead for using as soup or as a cooking ingredient.

Preparation
Step 1
Put the dry ingredient mix into a saucepan and add 2 cups cold water (less if you are using it in a recipe). Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until soup thickens. Then, add the main flavoring ingredient.... e.g. chopped cooked broccoli, or diced chicken, or chopped sautéed mushrooms, or cooked chopped asparagus, or diced shrimp and tomatoes...or whatever you can imagine! Cook a little longer until blended and hot. If soup is too thin, add one or two more Tbsp of dry milk powder. Too thick?...add more water.
