Ingredients

  • 12 graham cracker squares, broken in half
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 2 tbs. Sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 pkgs. (8 oz. Each) cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. Almond extract
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbs. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Step 1

1. Insert metal blade into food processor bowl. Add crackers: process with short on-off motion until mixture is fine. Add almonds; continue processing until finely chopped. Add 2 tablespoon sugar and the butter; process until thoroughly mixed. Press mixture into bottom and up sides of 8 or 9 inch round glass baking dish. 2. Microwave (high), uncovered, 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through. 3. Cut cream cheese into 1 inch pieces. Reinsert metal blade into food processor bowl. Add ½ package of cream cheese and 1 egg; process until creamy. Slowly add remaining cheese and egg, processing until smooth. Add 2/3 c. sugar and the expracrt, process until thoroughly mixed Pour about 2/3 of mixture into crust. 4.Microwave on 7 chocolate pieces in glass dish 1 1/2 minutes or until glossy. Add chocolate to mixture in processor bowl. Process until thoroughly mixed. Pour chocolate mixture over mixture in crust. 5. Microwave cake on 5 uncovered 14 - 16 miinutes or until center is almost set. 6. Combine sour cream, 2 T sugar and the vanilla. Spoon over cheesecake spreading carefully to cover. 7. Microwave on High 1 1/2 - 2 minutes until heated. Cool. Refrigerate at least 6 hours before serving.
