  • 6 oz. Semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 4 oz. Unsalted butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 small container of heavy (whipping) cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 t. Orange liquor

Preparation

Step 1

In a small saucepan over low heat (or in microwave), melt chocolate bits and the butter. Set aside to cool slightly. In the processor bowl with the steel blade, whip the cream and ¼ cup sugar until stiff. Remove the cream to a small bowl and keep chilled, wash the bowl and blade and process the cooled chocolate mixture and 1 egg yolk. Pulse in whipped cream gently and 1 t. Orange liqueur. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. You can shave some chocolate and use extra whipped cream for a garnish.
