Sugar Cookies

This is Gramma Bunny's famous recipe used for Christmas cookies or for any other celebration. She uses the cookie press or cookie cutters and decorates with frosting and sprinkles of various colors, sizes and shapes for all occasions. It is a family favorite!!

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups of butter
• 2 1/2 cups of sugar
• 5 cups of flour
• 2 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
• 1 1/4 tsp. flavoring - vanilla, anise
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 5 well beaten eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter & sugar, sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture. Add eggs last. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters or use cookie "shooter". Bake at 375 degrees, 10 minutes. Frost and decorate.
