French Toast Casserole

Ingredients
- 8 slices white bread, trimmed of crusts
- 3/4 stick butter
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 3 eggs well beaten
- 1 cup heavy cream

Preparation
Step 1
1. Trim the crusts from the bread.
2. Use an 8x8 inch square Pyrex dish. Melt butter and add the brown sugar and cinnamon. Make a paste and spread over the bottom of the pan. Layer the bread, two deep in the pan. Beat eggs and cream together and pour over the bread. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Bake 325 for Pyrex for 25-30 minutes. Drizzle maple syrup over the top and broil for a few minutes till browned and bubbly.
Individual servings reheat well in the microwave.
