Fullafel Patties

This is a recipe from the Looneyspoons Collection by Janet and Greta Podleski. It was excellent, and the cookbook is tons of fun. I asked about sharing this recipe on the site, and as long as credit was given it was fine with them. I strongly encourage you to get this cookbook if you can.

Ingredients
- 2 cans tinned garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup Parsley
- 2 Tbs Cilantro (or 2 tsp dried)
- 1/4 Lemon Juice
- 1/2 cup white Flour
- 2 TBS Tahini
- 3 cloves of Garlic
- 1 tsp dried Coriander
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pinch of cayenne or to taste
- 3 TBS Olive Oil, divided

Preparation
Step 1
Put everything in a food processor except the olive oil. Process until smooth. Place in a bowl and refrigerate for an hour to help firm it up. Using a small scoop or spoon, take about 2 TBS "dough" and form into balls. Put into frying pan with about a bit of the oil, and flatten slightly. Cook on both sides until golden brown in batches, not overcrowding the pan. Transfer to baking pan, heat just before serving.
Serving Size: Makes 30 small size patties. Nutrition info is per patty.
Tips
These are wonderful served with a lemon tahini sauce with yogurt.
