Butter Spritz cookies

These are the spritz cookies I have made for years for the holidays.

Ingredients

• 3-1/2 cups flour
• 1-1/3 cups sugar
• 8 drops yellow food coloring
• 3/4 cups butter
• 3/4 cups shortening
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and shortening. Add sugar and cream well.
Add beaten eggs, vanilla and food coloring. Mix well. Cut in flour one half at a time.
Bake at 375 degrees F. 8-10 minutes.
