Spiritz Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c sugar
• 1/2 c butter
• 1 egg
• 1 t vanilla
• (1/2 t lemon rind)
• 1 3/4 c all-p flour
• 1/4 t salt
• 11/2 t double act baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Beat butter till soft, add sugar gradually beat till light to creamy. Bbeat in egg and add vanilla (to lemon rind)sift flour before measuring, resift with salt and baking powder and stir sifted ingredients into butter mix and shape dough into rolls 2" in diameter to cover with wax paper and refridge over night. Bake on greased sheet for 10 min @ 100 degree
