Ingredients
- 1 (4 oz.) package Baker's German's sweet chocolate
- 1/4 cup butter
- 14 1/2 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/3 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (10-inch) unbaked pie shell

Step 1
Melt chocolate with butter over low heat, stirring until blended. Remove from heat. Gradually add milk. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt thoroughly. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell. Combine coconut and nuts. Sprinkle over filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Filling will be soft, but will set while cooling. Cool well before cutting.
