Ingredients
- (3 3/8) 2 1/4 cup flour
- (2 1/4) 1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- (1 1/2) 1 teaspoon baking powder
- (2 1/4) 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
- (3/8) 1/4 teaspoon salt
- (3/4) 1/2 cup butter
- (1 1/2) 1 cup molasses
- (3 3/8) 2 1/4 cup flour
- (2 1/4) 1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- (1 1/2) 1 teaspoon baking powder
- (2 1/4) 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
- (3/8) 1/4 teaspoon salt
- (3/4) 1/2 cup butter
- (1 1/2) 1 cup molasses

Step 1
Sift dry ingredients (except soda). Place molasses in heavy pan and heat slowly until bubbly around edges, then stir in butter and soda and stir well. Add dry ingredients and mix to make smooth dough. Set in refrigerator to chill and roll in small portions to make thin cookies. Grease cookie sheets. Bake 350 for 15 minutes. Burns easily.
