Ingredients

  • 1 lb trimmed beef tenderloin
  • 1 TBLS corn starch
  • 2 large mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 can beef broth
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup worchestershire
  • garlic salt, pepper
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Step 1

slice tenderloin into 4 equal parts, should be thin. Sprinkle liberally with garlic salt and pepper. Place in a ziploc bag with worchestershire sauce, place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
In a small saucepan, reduce the beef broth to 1/2 original amount, add mushrooms and red wine. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Add cornstarch to water and mix well. Use this mixture (or low carb thickener) to thicken beef stock.
Grill steak to desired doneness (please not well done!)and top with gravy. Serve with grilled shrimp and fresh asparagus or a side salad for something really special!
