  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 2 2 2 tblsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1 1 1 tblsp minced garlic
  • 1 1 1 cup dry basmati rice
  • 2 2 2 cups water
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Step 1

Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, ginger, and garlic; cook 3 minutes. Stir in rice to coat with butter, then add water and bring to a boil. Reduce mixture to a simmer, cover, and cook rice according to package directions, about 20 minutes. Let rice stand 10 minutes; stir in cilantro and season with salt.
