Step 1

Pare, core, and slice apples. Place in greased casserole and cover with lemon, water, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Work together with finger tips until crumb-like in consistency. Spread sugar, butter, and flour on top and bake uncovered in 400 oven for 30 minutes.
