Blueberry Jam Compote-BHG

Make this jam up to two days ahead and refrigerate it. It's bright, sweet berry flavor goes really well with the richly flavored Molasses Spice Cake.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup of mild flavored molasses
- 3 Tablespoons blueberry brandy or orange juice

Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in 2 cups of blueberries, the orange juice, molasses and brandy. Bring to a boiling; reduce heat. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in remaining blueberries.
2. To store, cover and chill for up to 2 weeks. Makes 2-1/2 cups.
