Ingredients

  • 1 1 1 container (8 ounce size) Cool Whip Lite, thawed
  • 1 1 1 package (8 ounce size) fat free cream cheese, softened
  • 8 8 8 ounces fat-free sour cream
  • 1 1 1 package fat free sugar free instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 1 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to sugar or sugar substitute to taste (if needed)

Simply blend all together with an electric beater and let sit in the 'fridge at least a few hours.

You can serve this as is, as a pie (just spread into a prepared cracker crust), or our favorite way:

Serve the mousse with fat free graham crackers and fresh fruit (such as peaches and strawberries) for dunking.

One of the things I like about this recipe is that its very versatile -leave out the pudding mix and its a fat free substitute for cheesecake or you can add different varieties of pudding such as vanilla butterscotch or white chocolate and make a different dessert every time.

You can even add regular sugar free jello mix to it to make something like strawberry fluff, a pseudo "key lime" cheesecake etc.
