  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 c cornmeal
  • 1 1 1 lb peeled, deveined shrimp
  • 4 4 4 c vegetable oil
  • 2 2 2 c shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 c mayonnaise
  • 2 2 2 tsp hot sauce, such as Tobasco
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 1 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 4 4 4 hot dog buns, toasted

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl, season cornmeal; toss with shrimp.

In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat.

Fry in batches until golden, 1-1/2 minutes.

In another bowl, toss next 5 ingredients; season.

Divide slaw among rolls; top with shrimp.
