Ingredients
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c carrots, diced
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c potato, diced
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c celery, diced
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c onion, diced
- 1 1 1 c crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c peas
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c frozen green beans
- 2 2 2 T pearl barley cooked and cooled
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c alphabet pasta cooked and cooled
- 3 3 3 c water
- 2 2 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 2 2 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 2 1/4 T cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c water

Preparation
Step 1
In soup pot add water a bouillon. Bring to boil, simmer covered 15 min. Add carrots potato celery and onions simmer 15 minutes or until tender but not mushy. Separately cook rinse and drain barley and pasta. set aside. After veggies are tender add tomatoes peas and green beans. Simmer an addl 5 min; stir in cornstarch and water. Allow soup to thicken slightly and add barley and pasta. Heat to warm all ingredients
