- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1-1/4 cups light corn syrup
- 3 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup broken walnuts
- 1 unbaked 9" pie shell

Step 1
In medium saucepan, stir together brown sugar and flour. Add corn syrup and margarine or butter. Cook and stir over low heat just until margarine or butter is melted.
In small bowl with a fork or whisk, beat eggs and vanilla. Add egg mixture to brown sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts. Pour walnut mixture into unbaked pastry shell. Cover edges of crust with foil to prevent overbrowning. Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil, continue baking 10-15 minutes more until a knife inserted near the center of filling comes our clean. Cool pie on wire rack.
