Ingredients

  • 1 1 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1 1 1 commercial yellow cake
  • 1 1 1 package vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 4 4 eggs
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup corn oil
  • 1/2 1/2 7 cup of flor de Cana grand reserve 7 year rum
  • Glaze
  • 1 1 1 stick butter/margarine
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup tap water
  • 1 1 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 1/2 7 of flor de Cana grand reserved 7 year rum

Preparation

Step 1

Rum cake; grease and flour with baking mix in 10 inches bundt pan. Sprinkle nutmeat over bottom of the pan. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Beat two minuets with electric mixer or until smooth.
Pour mixture over nut mix,bake 60 to 65 minuets in a 325 degrees oven or until Cake is done. Cake should spring back when lightly pressed. Test with toothpick! Cool in pan for 15 to 20 minuets Invert Cake onto serving plate,then make 25 to 40 holes all over Cake; then drizzle or spoon warm glaze over cake. Cool to room temperature.
Glaze ; melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar,boil 5 minuets, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in rum
