Lemon Pepper Tilapia in Puff Pastry

A unique twist on a simple Lemon Pepper dish. The puff pasty presents itself quite well here and give a welcome crunch to the otherwise soft fish. 9 yr old daughter approved too!

Lemon Pepper Tilapia in Puff Pastry 4 Pictures

Ingredients

  • 1 1 1 Sheet Puff Pastry
  • 3 3 6 Tilapia fillets (halved, or 6 small)
  • 2-3 2-3 2-3 Scallions, chopped
  • 1-2 1-2 1-2 Cloves Garlic, minced (based on preference)
  • 2 2 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1-2 1-2 1-2 Tablespoons Lemon Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 1 1 Roma Tomato chopped (optional)
  • 1-2 1-2 1-2 Tablespoons Capers (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

1) Preheat oven to 400
2) Roll out the Puff Pastry and cut into 6 evenly sized pieces
3) Sprinkle Lemon Pepper season on both sides of Tilapia
4) Place one piece of Tilapia on each piece of Puff Pastry. Sprinkle with chopped Scallion, Roma or Capers if desired, and finally a small chunk of butter in the center. Lastly put a dab of Garlic on the butter.
5) Fold up the corners of the Puff Pastry so that it meets in the center. Crimp the corners together so it holds it's shape.
6) Bake for 20-25 minutes. The puss pasty will be golden brown.
