Ingredients
- 1 stick plus 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter room temperature/softened
- 2 cups plus 2 Tablespoons flour
- 1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 Tablespoons buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanella
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons chopped walnuts (i like to toast them)

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat over to 350 (Some cook this at 325 for 70 to 75 min)
Butter and flour 9 by 5 loaf pan or spray it with Bakers Secret
Using mixer cream 1 stick butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy (4-5 minutes)
add eggs blending well
stir in the 2 cups flour and salt
in a separate cup add baking soda to buttermilk and alow it to dissolve
add this to batter and mix well
stir in vanilla and chopped apples
Put Batter into loaf pan
make topping
using mixer cream remaining butter and sugar (the 2 Tablespoons) Stir in remaining flour, cinnamon and nuts
Spoon topping on top of batter
Bake 60 minutes. Cool slightly before removing it from pan and then cool completely on a wire rack
Some cook this at 325 for 70 to 75 min
