Ingredients
- Brown 1/2 lb Veal And 1/2 lb Pork
- 1 Tbsp. Shortening
- 1 Cup Water
- 2 Tbsp. La Choy Sauce
- Celery, Onion
- 1 Can Bean Sprouts
- 1 Lg. Can Mushrooms
- 1 Can Water Chestnuts (Sliced)
- 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch

Preparation
Step 1
Brown 1/2 # Veal And 1/2 # Pork (Cut Up Meat – Butcher Will Cut) And Brown In 1 Tbs. Shortening. After Brown Add 1 Cup Water And 2 Tbsp. La Choy Sauce And Simmer 1/2 Hour. Put Into A Kettle And Add Celery And Onions. (Celery Should Be Cut In Bigger Pieces) (Celery And Onions Can Also Be Cooked For About 20 Minutes Before Adding To Meat). Add Another Cup Of Water, 1 Can Bean Sprouts, 1 Lg. Can Mushrooms, 1 Can Water Chestnuts (Slices), 1 Tbsp. La Choy Sauce And Cook 1/2 Hour. Just Before Serving Makes Medium Thinking With 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch And La Choy Sauce (Aunt Hilda)
