Ingredients

  • 4 4 4 Slices Bacon, diced
  • 1 1 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 1 1 lb. mixed dried beans, washed
  • 1 15-oz 1 15-oz 15-oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1 1 Tbs dry mustard
  • Dash Dash cinnamon
  • 3 3 3 cups water

Step 1

Select Saute on the Instant Pot and adjust to Normal. When hot, cook bacon, stirring occasionally, until cooked through, for about 5 minutes.

Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate. Add onion to the bacon fat and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, just until tender. Press Cancel.

Add beans, tomato sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard, cinnamon, and cooked bacon to pot. Add the water, making sure the beans are completely covered with liquid. Stir to combine. Secure the lid on the pot. Close the pressure-release valve.

Select Manual and cook at high pressure for 90 minutes. When cooking is complete, use a natural release to depressurize. Press Cancel.

Select Saute and adjust to Normal. Cook for 10 minutes or until liquid is desired consistency. Press Cancel. Serve.
