Ingredients
- 1 1 1 onion, copped fine
- 6 6 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 2 2 Tbs tomato paste
- 2 2 2 Tbs extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1 1 Tbs minced fresh oregano or 1 tsp dried
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 1 can 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1 can 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 2 2 2 tsp sugar
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 1/2 1 1/2 to 30 large shrimp (26 to 30 per pound), peeled, deveined, and tails removed
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Preparation
Step 1
1. Micro-Wave onion, garlic, tomato paste, 1 tablespoon oil, oregano, and pepper flakes in bowl, stirring occasionally, until onion is softened, about 5 minutes, transfer to slow cooker. Stir in crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, wine, sugar, and 1/2 tsp pepper. Cover and cook until sauce is deeply flavored, 8 to 9 hours on low or 5 to 6 hours on high.
2. Stir shrimp into sauce, cover and cook on high until opaque throughout, 30 to 40 minutes. Stir in parsley and remaining 1 tablespoon oil, an season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
