Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar (I did use Splenda)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 sticks softened butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries (can also use dried blueberries)
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • Servings: 48

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375.

2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Cream butter and sugars together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Beat until mixture is light and creamy. Add extract. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed, mixing until well combined. Add the cranberries, chips, nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoons 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
