CARAMEL AND CHOCOLATE COVERED APPLES

Ingredients
- 6 Apples (use either Gala or Cameo)
- I 2 1/2, pound Ghirardelli Chocolate Bar (Sam's Club carries)
- 3 Large packages ofWurthers Caramels
- 1-2 Tablespo ons of Water to each package of caramels
- I I pound Ghirardelli White Chocolate
- I Bag of nuts chopped

Preparation
Step 1
I. Wash apples the day before.
2. Apples need to be at room temperature when you start.
3. Turn apples upside down to insert sticks into bottom of apple. This helps
to keep them more stable.
4. Melt caramels in a double boiler on the stove with the 1-2 tablespoons of
water.
5. Dip apples and roll in melted caramel and sit on parchment paper to cool
before going on to the next step. You can even sit them on a tray and stick
in the freezer to cool if you need to.
6. Melt Ghirardelli chocolate in either the microwave or crock-pot. Make
sure no water touches the chocolate. Dip and roll apples in the chocolate.
Sprinkle nuts on top of the chocolate before it is cool. Set apples on
parchment paper to cool.
7. Drizzle white chocolate on apples using a spoon, squirt bottle, or zip loc
bag with a hole cut into the comer. Cool apples on parchment paper.
8. Package apples in cellophane wrap.
