  • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon onion, diced
  • 1/8 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon savory
  • Salt and pepper
  • (STUFFED COD)
  • 2 1/2 pounds cod fillet (preferably fresh)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion, diced
  • 2 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups white cheddar
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

(DRESSING)
In a bowl mix together bread crumbs, onion, butter and savory.
Salt and pepper to taste.
(STUFFED COD)
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Layer fish on the bottom of an 8x8 oven proof dish and salt and pepper to taste.
Layer dressing and top with another layer of fish and salt and pepper to taste.
Cover fish and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the cover add onion, bacon and top with white cheddar.
Bake for 15 minutes uncovered until the fish flakes.
