Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground pork, chicken or beef
- 1/2 lb shrimp, shelled deveined and minced
- 1/2 cup minced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced water chestnuts
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3/4 lb won ton wrappers
- Oil for deep frying

Step 1
1. Mix pork, shrimp, mushrooms, water chestnuts, green onions, egg yolks and soy sauce in skillet. Cook, stirring often, until meat and egg yolks are cooked. Cool.
2. Place about 1 Tbsp of meat mixture in each wrapper. Fold squares in halves diagonally and press edges together with a fork. Fry triangles in deep oil heated to 375 degrees until golden. Serve with won ton sauce.
WON TON SAUCE; 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/3 cup brown sugar packed, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1 1/2 cups water, 2 cloves garlic sliced thin, 2 Tbsp oil
Mix cornstarch, brown sugar, soy sauce and water, until smooth. Fry garlic in hot oil until lightly browned. Skim out garlic and set aside. SLOWLY pour cornstarch mixture into hot oil and cook, stirring, until thickened. Top with fried garlic.
