Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour or 2 1/2 cups cake flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- dash salt
- 1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease sides and bottom of a 9 inch tube pan or 2 bread pans. Using an electric mixer, beat together the butter and sugar until the mixture is creamy. Beat in eggs. Fold in sour cream and vanilla, mixing just until well blended. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Fold (not too much) into the sour cream mixture just until the flour no longer can bee seen. Spoon into the prepared pan(s). Stir together the walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle mixture evenly over the top of the cake, pressing down slightly so that it will adhere to the batter. Bake cake in preheated oven 45 to 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
NOTE: If using self rising flour, measure 2 1/8 cups and omit the baking powder and salt.
