Ingredients
- 3 T paprika
- 1 T salt
- 2 t black pepper
- 1 t cayenne pepper
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1/2 t dried thyme
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 3 T olive oil
- 1 onion, peeled and cut in half
- 3 1/2 lb pork shoulder, cut in half

Preparation
Step 1
Mix first 6 ingredients together in a medium sized mixing bowl with a fork
Pour in the honey, vinegar, and olive oil to form a paste
Place the onion in the bottom of a slow cooker
Top with the pork and pour the honey paste all over all sides of the pork. It's ok if some or a lot of the paste drips down to the bottom
Turn on the slow cooker to low and cook for 7-8 hours or until the meat is tender enough to be easily shredded with a fork
Serve warm with fixings like cole slaw and cornbread.
Refrigerate or freeze the leftovers
