  • Caramel Sauce: 1 cup brown sugar ( you can use white sugar) and 1/3 cup water.
  • Flan: 1 can sweet condensed milk; 1 can of milk - use the sweet condensed milk can to measure; 4 eggs.

Step 1

Caramel sauce: In a sauce pan melt the sugar. Once it's melted add the water and let it cook until it thickens a bit. Pour the caramel into a Ring Mold Pan ( I used Fat Daddio's 8 1/2 X 3 in - 22X8cm ).
Pour the caramel tilting the pan so the caramel swirls around on the inside ( bottom and sides). Let it sit for a few minutes so it hardens and cool.
Flan: Blend together 1 can sweet condensed milk, same amount of milk and 4 eggs. Blend for a few minutes until smooth.
Pour the flan into the pan on top of caramel sauce.
Cover with paper towel and foil.
Place a trivet inside the pot and then add 1.5 cups of water to the bottom of pressure cooker.
Place the Flan into pressure cooker using sling. Lock on lid and close pressure valve. Press meat button. ( 15 minutes) . Allow natural release. I opened after 15 minutes and check with toothpick inserted. If the toothpick comes out clean the flan is ready.
Let the flan cool and transfer it to the fridge to cool overnight.
To remove the Flan from the mold, Just run a knife along the sides and then carefully flip it on a serving plate.
